"Violent Media Is Good For Kids"

In the article "Violent Media Is Good For Kids",Gerard Jones makes a strong argument concerning violence and children.
Society has taught us that violence is not accepted, but how can children and adults live a full and productive life if there is no balance.  As Mr. Jones shared his story of suffocating his fears it compels me to think that if we depress our true feeling we will never live to our full potential
As a parent I can say I have been guilty of wanting my son to be happy when he really wasn't. He only seemed to be happy when he was around his peers so now he doesn't want to be with his parents for extended periods.
I never looked at the Hulk like  have seen him through the eyes of Mr. Jones.  The Hulks character showed us that he could do good acts but that other person could come out when he was mad.  This is how some of us live our lives and we need to know it is okay to live free.
I think that super hero's and video games are somewhat different.  The violence in some video games stir up a different kind of anger and aggressions by watching someone act out those tendencies to hurt anyone who stand in their way or bothers them. while super heroes wanted to help others and stop bad guys that hurt good people.
I will agree that for some violence is entertaining; however, when it is intentionally I find this hurts all involved. The person that's being hurt and the person that's hurting others.  For example a person that's being bullied is hurt along with there families and the person that bullies may have been hurt in life and their just acting act their hurt.
Sometimes when we try and protect our children from harm we put them right in the center of the eye of the storm, but when we give them the right tools in life they can making a responsible choice.

Violent media

In the article of violet media, Jones tell of his personal ordeal of tragedy and the ability to triumpt during times of fear.  Mr. Jones tells how the Hulk helped him to release his fears.
As Mr. Jones began to age, he chose more sophisticated heroes to write about.  He watched as people evolved and began writing stories about the psyches.
I appreciated reading about the experience of Jones son.  This takes me back when we would read the story there is an alligator under my bed and my son would say he was a pirate and pirates aren't afraid of anything.
As stated in the article, ''Children need violent entertainment in order to explore the inescapable feelings that they've been taught to deny, I disagree  with this statement because children mimic behaviors and if w teach good behavior our children will chose what they have seen.
I do think that educations the key to alot of things are children learn about.  Jones created a program to help children deal with anger problems.
Although sometimes we give our children the choice to choose, we put them in the eye of the storm and cause them more harm.

The Best Heroes of Marvel and DC

In the world of comics, there are two brands that rule over the rest. Those being Marvel and DC. The easiest way to tell these two brands apart (aside from the logos) are by their heroes and villains. In the Marvel Universe, there are several groups that make up the greatest heroes. Some of these are The Avengers, The X-Men, and The Fantastic 4. In the DC Multiverse, however, the greatest group of heroes are of course the Super Friends, or, as it evolved into, the Justice League of America.

In these superpowered teams, there are several components: the powerhouses, the leaders, the geniuses, the comic relief, and the miscellanious characters that more or less add to the story. In the Avengers, those spots are filled by Captain America (the leader), The Incredible Hulk and Thor (the powerhouses), Iron Man, who fills both comic relief and genius, Black Widow and Hawkeye, who are often overlooked, and many others not featured in the recent movie. In the Justice League, however, they have Superman (the leader and powerhouse), Batman and J’onn J’onnes (the geniuses), Green Lantern, and The Flash (the comic relief).

In these comic book worlds, these heroes are the focal point. But the greatest heroes of them are most likely the most powerful or charismatic. Those being Superman for DC and for Marvel, either Captain America or Captain Marvel. These characters are powerful, charismatic, and in some cases, quite tragic.

Superman is known as the last son of Krypton, his home planet that was destroyed and he was sent to earth as an infant. Under the ultraviolet rays of our yellow sun, his Kryptonian body was enhanced and he gained superhuman strength beyond measure, speed that was quoted as “faster than a speeding bullet”, x-ray and heat vision, and he became almost entirely invulnerable to harm, unaffected by bullets, blades, and even the heat of lightning. Thus his nickname, “The Man of Steel”. Raised on a little farm in Kansas, he grw up to be a humble, kind-hearted man. He is always depicted as selfless, noble, and someone who always defends the rights and saftely of those less powerful than him. That being, the entire planet Earth. He is a stranger on this planet and always had to take great care to control his powers and retain his good nature spirit despite the fact that he was the last of his race, all the while being too afraid to tell his human identity to the love of his life, Lois Lane.

Captain America, however, was born a regular man named Steve Rodgers. A scrawny, sickly man who, despite his physical limitations, wanted nothing more than to help other people. He was a wanna’-be soldier during World War II and was made into Captain America after being having an experimental serum injected into his body called the Super Soldier Formula. With this formula, Steve Rodgers grew into a muscular, super-strong, incredibly fast he-man with heightened senses and a healing ability to rival that of another Marvel legend, Wolverine. A healing factor so powerful that he could recover from nearly any injury and would in fact, cease noticeable aging and even prevent him from becoming intoxicated. Unfortunately, he was frozen in time for close to seventy years while in battle with another Super Soldier, his nemesis the Red Skull. He had fought for the innocent, sacrificed everything, watched his best friend Bucky die, all to be frozen in time and wake up in a world where all his friends and loved ones were gone.

Captain Marvel, unlike the aforementioned Superman and Captain America, was a royal soldier in the Kree Army named Mar’Vel. He was also the only Kree with the ability to fly. The Kree being an alien race with blue skin and super-strength, which aided them in their never-ending war with another alien race known as the Skrulls. He fell in love with the Skrull princess and together, they escaped to Earth. There, he was declared a superhero because of his abilities and desire to help others. His story, however, ended tragically with his contracting cancer and dying. His son, however, later continued his legacy, but that’s another story.

These three great heroes were the crown jewels of the comic book world. Strong-willed, kind-hearted, and heroic. They all lead tragic lives, but that never stopped them from being heroes in every sense of the word. They fought, bled, and in some cases (more than one in Superman’s case), died in their fight for the defense of the weak and what is right.
Hi, all. My name’s Jason. I’m 20 years old and I’ve been in Florida my whole life, in Ocala for 14 years I believe. I have a twin brother and I’m majoring in zoology. I’m also kind of a nerd. A huuuge nerd.

Bound to Buy Discussion

I cringed after reading this article as I fit a few of these things. I shall not blame an advertising company as I am convinced I never fall to the trickery of advertisement. The think I am most guilty of now is fixing a replacing things that there may not be anything wrong with it. I always strive for perfection in things, and I may even purchase something of lower quality, or something with obvious flaws and fix it up with better things (like my house). I may have been guilty of impulse buying once in awhile. I blame this on the fact that I really dislike the shopping process, at least for vehicles (thank goodness for the internet).

As this article points out obvious things that consumers are guilty of, and their purchasing styles and habits, one has to think that companies focus on these weaknesses and exploit them to their fullest extent. I would believe that infomercials are aimed at impulse buyers. Has anyone ever notices that there is always a money back guarantee on a 19.95 item, all you have to do is pay for shipping? I wonder how many people ever do send their purchases back.

I believe once someone is truly aware of their purchasing habits and do understand their weaknesses they can probably control the impulse, or avoid being put into a position of regretting a purchase later.

As shown in the picture, this is an ad for the alcoholic beverage Bacardi. With this ad, the main audience that they seem to be trying to capture would be mostly males, but a good percent could also be of female. The woman is dressed in a leopard type bikini with skinny jeans and a short sleeve, button down shirt which is open, of course. In my opinion she seems dressed in a "slutty" form of clothing due to the way she presents herself in the ad. Dragging anyone in whose intrigued by the pose and look of her body. I believe its in the same family as a trap. Though its an ad about alcohol, no one can seem to get past the fact that the woman is undressing with a drink in her hand. It sends a message to the people who uses the wrong head on their body to think with. Basically giving them the inclination that if they buy this alcohol and give it to a girl, they can get the drunk enough to get lucky. That gives them more of a reason to buy it rather than if they had seen just a picture of the bottle.
With the way they portray women on this ad, I understand it as them losing their respect. Though its a paycheck for the woman, since all she has to do is pose for the camera, it still sends a message out which everyone has now interpreted as woman can be slutty, yet if you see a guy doing the same thing they see it more as them being sexy rather than slutty or easy.

"Pussy cat by day / Bacardi by night" This is another example of what I had just stated. It has nothing to do with the alcohol itself, so why is it even there? To entice the readers. The only thing it this whole ad, besides the bottom, that has anything to do with what they are advertising would be the drink in her hand.

The other thing I though was funny is the small, tiny print at the bottom of the ad. No matter how you blow it up, you cant read it. It could take about where it originally came from all the way to all the bad things that could happen to you if you drank it but you would never know since it is too small to read. But its there so if something happens and you try to sue them all they have to do is get the magnifying glass out and show it to you. They see it as your fault, not theirs, that you couldn't read it.

Critical analysis

In the article "Violent Media Is good for Kids" Gerard Jones is expressing his opinion on violent media and its benefits for children. Gerard used his own life experiences to base his opinion on violence in comics. These comics helped him come out of his shell and learn to deal with his rage. He felt so strongly about how violence helps children that he created a program to help parents use violence to mange their children's' rage. I have always felt that unregulated media has contributed to the moral decay of society. After reading this article, I was somewhat persuaded on using the violence in media as a tool to help our children. The problem with this is we, as a nation, have parents that are not willing to make the time to teach their children important life lessons, so the concept seems beneficial but not for everyone. Gerard briefly elaborated on the negative effects of violence in the media and how violence in media can put acts of violence in children's' heads and eventually lead to action. Gerard using his own experience found his passion in life, and he worked with some children when creating his program utilizing violence. Since Gerard believes in his passion, of course, his opinion is bias. I think that using violence to teach children to overcome their fears and controlling their rage is an interesting concept.

Essay 1: Visual Argument

A visual posted on ning.com shows the hurtful words of a parent forming a hand to choke a child. This visual makes a powerful statement about the power of words. At first glance, the photographer's goal seems to be to show a child in pain, but when you take a closer look you see the hand that is choking the child and causing pain is formed by the harmful words spoken by a parent.
I truly believe that this is true. Since I have started college, I have realized the importance of leadership, civic engagement, and emotional quotient. Why did it take me going to college to realize this? Why weren't these values instilled in me as a child? These were the questions I was asking myself. I am thirty-five years old and just realizing that I can make a difference in this world. I always thought that I couldn't be anybody of importance and I couldn't make a difference. Through my studies of Liberal Arts I have realized that I can stand for what I believe in, make a change, and leave my mark.
I have three children, future leaders, which I am very important to. My passion has become to help my children through leadership to become virtuous people. Every opportunity I have to inspire others to instill virtuous values in their children I do. That's how we are going to change this world for the better. We have to start at home with our kids. In this image we see words hurting a child. Let's lift each other up with words rather than tear each other down.
Hi my name is Sarah. I am a soon to be fourty-eight years young, twice divorced, mother of two boys, and full time Correctional Officer. This is my first time going on a blog line or even interacting with others on the web in this way. This is all new to me. I have had classes on line before but none can compare to this class I just hope I can keep up with this technology.

Critical Analysis

Discussion #2: CRITICAL ANALYSIS

Gerard Jones, “Violent Media is Good for Kids”, gave an in-depth view of Jones’ feeling toward violence in comic books and video games when supplied to minds of children. Jones feels that children should be allowed to read or interact with these sorts of media to build on their self- esteem and self-confidence: that it is healthy for a child to channel anger and hostility through the interaction of violent games and the reading of materials which promotes such anarchy.

Jones explanation of his opinion is more on a personal level than a critical level. His theory is based on his experience with comic book violence and the effect that it had on him. Having a superhero who; fights crime, bring the bad guys to justice, watch over the innocent, protect the weak, and stop evil doers in their track.

When viewing comics and video games that carry these values, one can see how Jones could conclude that this kind of violence in the media being a good thing for children. Unfortunately this type of media is not on the shelves alone.

There has been a drastic change in the creativeness at work in literary and video games from just over a decade ago. Sexual innuendo and vulgarity of language has crept its way into the most innocent of comic media. As for video games: the need for even bloodier and gorier ways to kill has become the main issue of their creation.

Gerard Jones feels that the exposer to the heroism in comic books and video games can help children with their issues of indifference by helping them to open up their mind and imagination to the strength they themselves have within, that the violence is just a basic part of life that one can be exposed to at any time in the real world but by exposer through video game makes it a good thing by preparing their minds for whatever may transpire in their lives.

Not all media is good or healthy for kids. The only way a child is going to know how to challenge their emotions of fear, anxiety, or anger in the right way, when by chance they do come across media that is inappropriate, is by taking time to read or view the media that the child is interested in and giving explanation to what is being viewed instead of criticizing and opinionating.

Introduction

My name is Maxx. My hometown is Interlachen, Fl. I pretty new to all of this so please bare with me. I don't really have a plan for my life just yet. I do know that after I graduate I plan to move away from Florida. The heat is killer.. I'm very big on getting a farm somewhere and settling down with my family. But, I'm nowhere near there yet so for now, I'm floating in the breeze. I love reptiles, everything about them. I have a couple at home that are caught from the wild and I study them. Nothing to do with labs I assure you, only their behavior and eating habits. How they adapt to their new home. I hope to get a degree following a path either with animals or something to do with science. As we may not ever see much of each other in person, I hope to get to know everyone and wish you all the best experience in this class.

Discussion Post: OBJECTIFICATION of WOMEN in COMIC BOOKS

Her first appearance was in Ms. Marvel #16 as Raven Darkhölme in 1978. That same year she appeared in Ms. Marvel #18 as Mystique. A beautiful creature, created by artist David Cockrum and writer Chris Claremont. Though she is no superhero, she is a super villain and, in my books, I see them as equally important. She is a mutant with the power to shape shift. One unique thing about her that intrigued me most was the fact that no one knows her exact age. She has mentioned being 100 years old but still, no one knows for sure her exact age.

With most of these characters that I come across, whether in a comic book or on TV, I have notice how when they first come out they seemed so innocent and only there to fight crime, whereas now a days, most are half naked and sporting sexy clothing with big guns or something added to there costume to attract the attention of the viewers in a different way than usual.

With mystique, on the other hand, she started out being almost half naked but in the movie X-Men that she played in, the woman who played her was completely naked throughout the whole movie. The only thing separating her skin from fresh air was blue paint. Which I found out had a serious effect on her. She would puke blue for a couple days after shooting a scene.

So costume wise, the way they used her natural body instead of a suit shows of the shape of her body more. Using a lean and fit woman gave them the means to attract more viewers. Due to the fact that she is naked, it gives more detail on certain body parts that would be covered with a suit. Her breast are naturally set on her chest instead of being pushed or changed in any way. You can see the muscle in her stomach. I like how they added the scales to cover her personal private parts. It makes her look more like a mutant that way, If they just painted her blue and started shooting a scene, all you would see is  a naked blue woman. Though that may be appealing to some, in this case, it fits her character more with her having the scales.

They also gave her another unique feature, which I liked but wish they were a different color. Her eyes. Bright yellow with a cat like look to them. And her hair, bright red. usually kept down and pressed back like she had just gotten out of the shower.
Hello fellow classmates! My name is Gail Gaughf . I am "Mom" to  3 grown children and "Nana" to 3 boys.I am currently seeking a degree in Legal assisting and Criminal justice. Women of Comic Books

Storm (Ororo Munroe of the X-Men)

Discussion Post:  OBJECTIFICATION of WOMEN in COMIC BOOKS

My one and all-time favorite comic book character is the one and only lady of the elements Ororo Munroe, best known as “Storm”, one of the great comic book author “Stan Lee” crowning creation. From the first time I came across Storm in one of the many X-Men comic books, when I was much younger, I was truly amazed with her. In fact, Storm was the first black female character with mutant

power that I have ever come across, so to see her was indeed a treat. Through the years, Storm has been drawn with different outfits and different hair styles, but she will always remain within as the first Storm that I came to know.

Ororo Munroe, daughter to an American Journalist and an African Tribal Princess, did not receive her code name “Storm” until her later run in with Xavier, Charles, the head leader and founder of the X-Men. Storm’s ability to control the air around her and by changing the weather with a raise of her hands to the sky could have made her a formidable foe for the X-Men. However, Storm also possessed a strength that was even more powerful than her mutant powers those are the powers of compassion and restraint. Even when faced with mortal danger to herself, she sought out to restrain rather than total annihilation.

Storm’s hair, a pure snowflake white, matched her eyes brilliantly as they would change from dark to snowflake white whenever she gathered her elemental powers. She then would take to the air. Even though Storm possessed no powers of flight, in other words, she could not fly but what she could do was glide. By using the very air around her she would move through the air with ease as if she was no heavier than a feather which made her unusual outfit appear to be wings of sort.

Storm’s body shape have always been drawn with the fitness of an amazon which made her outfit into a bodysuit that clung like second skin to a well per portioned and well- endowed frame.

In this pose, Storm’s outfit is full length dark blue and gold trim with a gold belt, which make a statement of the mutant power she possess, power over the elements which she calls upon. Around her head she wears a Tribal band in the form of a crown to hold back her hair from her face which also shows her noble status of being the daughter of a princess.

Storm will always be my favorite comic book character, not just because of her powers but most of all her back ground which came to be a real break-through for black American females all over the world  not only have a hero but a heroine.

Discussion Post #2

Above is a picture of today’s version of the very well known Batwoman or Batgirl. Her costume is skin tight and almost transparent. The way the light shines on her highlights and attracts your eyes to certain body parts. Her body shape is sleek and sexy and more like a porn star rather than a respected superhero. Her breasts are made to show off and the way the bat on her costume is placed means that you have to look at them. Her face is Barbie-like and her red hair (about the only thing relevant to the original Batgirl) is perfectly curled. Her body language looks like she should be on the cover of a fashion magazine rather than performing extreme martial arts to fight crime, and accompany Batman as his sidekick. Here she is portrayed to be something totally different. This photo brings an audience who is probably male. I think other women who idolized the original batgirl would not be fans of this one. Just like me, they probably liked the idea of Batgirl being a total badass. She was also a genius who could hack computers and rode a motorcycle. Her costume was cute and purple and not just eye candy for men who like to look at women dressed up as their favorite childhood superhero.

Introduction

Hello, my name is John Coffill. I am a Florida native; however, I have been in Gainesville since 2001. That same year I married my true love, my daughter was born, obtained a new job, bought a home, moved to Gainesville, and purchased a new car. I have been working to support my family ever since. I have been a front line manager for the past eight years, and I am ready to move into middle management. I had always thought that my opportunity to go to college was over, but after my friend started college I realized that I could go back to school.
I started Santa Fe College(SFC) in the fall of last year. Over the past two semesters, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while earning twelve credits during the fall and fifteen this past spring. Also, I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Honors Society, and I have achieved my goals here at SFC while working full time.
That being said, the time I am not in class, working, or studying I spend with my family. I have been taking online courses and classes on campus, but I prefer to be in class to enjoy the interaction with my peers. While registering, my first priority is availability and that's why I am taking this course online. I look forward to the opportunity in this class to strengthen my writing skills.
I have been in the work force for 15 years and through my blood, sweat, and tears I have a true appreciation of the education that I have obtained here in college. I savor every moment I am on campus and cherish the knowledge I have gained. Through my studies in the Liberal Arts I have learned the importance of leadership and civic engagement. Once an egocentric thinker, I have developed into an ethnocentric thinker with a sense of world centric views. I truly feel to change this world for the better we as a community have teach our children a strong foundation so they will effectively handle obstacles in their path.

Visual Argument(superheroes)

Wolverine

The above photo is Marvel's very own Wolverine also known as Logan. He is a mutant widely known in the series the X-Men with a remarkable ability to with stand pretty much any condition with his super human healing power. Wolverine is described as an animal with an outstanding ability to "hunt". In the photo above the the artist is puts Wolverine in some sort of forest giving the viewer the thought that he must be some kind of animal. Wolverine also has sharp retractable claws that pierce through his knuckles, giving him an even more animal look. The majority of his suit is yellow, some may say yellow symbolizes wisdom and wisdom is a sign of age, seeing how Wolverine is pretty old this might be the reason behind his color scheme. If you look closely at his mask you will also notice how he has some sort of ears poking out. This cowl gives him the distinct look of a wolverine. Wolverine also has marks all over his body and suit as if he has been in some sort of combat showing his ability to recover from almost anything. Wolverine the animal adaption of man is someone you don't want to be running from.

Essay 1 Assignment Sheet

Hi All,

The Essay 1 assignment sheet has been posted to the Lessons page on Angel.

IMPORTANT!! - Google Docs Issue

I know some of you are up and running on Google Docs and some of you are having trouble still.  I discovered this morning (thanks to a timely office visit by one of your classmates) that Google Docs is in the process of being rolled over into a new platform called Google Drive.  Unfortunately, this new platform requires downloading a new program on to your computer.  This will be undesirable for many home users and simply impossible for any students using computers at the local library or at any campus location.

Since this is the case, I am going to being posting assignment sheets on the Lessons page in Angel.  I will also be providing paper dropboxes there.  I really do love Google Docs, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience for those of you who have already got it set up, but this new download requirement will actually make it completely impossible for some of the students in this class to access it.

To recap:  All assignment sheets will be posted to the Lessons page on Angel, and I will post a paper dropbox on Angel for each essay.  I'll post screencaps showing you how to submit a paper closer to the due date.  I will also post an announcement here  (using the "housekeeping" label) each time I post an assignment sheet or dropbox to Angel so you will all know it's there.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Discussion Post: Visual Argument

Visual Argument
Chase Fowler

This image is from Batman: Arkham City(if you can’t tell by now, I am a huge Batman geek). As you can see Batman is attacking one of the Abramovici twins, Hammer. In the background you can also see two Joker thugs coming in to attack Batman as well. Batman is clearly outnumbered and, by the looks of Hammer, out gunned. But he is on a mission and failure is not an option. He is willing to wade into battle against a larger and stronger force while risking his own life and limb. The image supports the notion that if you are willing to give up everything you had better be ready to risk everything and that life has obstacle bigger than yourself, but, like Batman, you can overcome them by using your head and playing to your strengths. The whole game is about unraveling and ultimately stopping a sinister plot that is being carried out against Gotham City by some of Batman’s greatest enemies. It’s a parallel to regular life, you have your ultimate goal for your life and you do anything you can to reach your goal and live your life’s dream(parallel in essence, not necessarily in threat level).

Discussion: Women in comic books

Women in Comic Books
Chase Fowler

It's no small secret that women are glorified eye candy in most comic books nowadays. As a fan of comics I recognize this but there are a few exceptions to the rule. Batwoman(the character pictured above) is one of the few exceptions. She isn't made to be eye candy, she's made to be a female hero. She's, I believe, the only openly gay leading lady in a comic book and actively shuns male help as she feels she can do it herself, which she does. Another exception is Wonder Woman, she is a princess of the Amazon. She is a powerful woman who can go toe-to-toe with Superman if it came down to it. According to themarysue.com(http://www.themarysue.com/comic-book-demographic/) about 25% of comic book readers surveyed are female, that makes the comic book reader demographic by and large male. The artists know if they want to sell books they have to appeal to mostly male readers, they can do that by A) making the female heroes the damsel in distress or B) incredibly attractive. They chose the attractive route but at the same time they’ve made female characters more independent. It’s a trade-off that will continue to be made until there is a larger percentage of female readers or female writers/artists.

Alcohol Advertisement

As I am a male, this advertisement caught my eye right away. The first observation is a physically fit woman that has a lot of skin exposed. My imagination starts to go to work and I wonder what her face looks like. The next thing I notice is her "tramp stamp", once I see that on a girl I am fairly certain she likes to party and if I drink Bacardi I may get the opportunity to party with a girl like her.  The caption below the woman reads “Librarian by Day, Bacardi by Night”.  This ad is not only targeted towards people attracted to women, it is also attracted to reserved people in reserved employment. The advertisement is trying to show that you can be a very reserved person during the day, like a librarian, and become wild party animal at night and there is nothing wrong with that. This advertisement is definitely directed towards people attracted to women. As there is not much logical thinking put towards drinking and partying, this advertisement is directed towards pathos.

Formal Introductions

Hi there... I am a first time college student at the age of 34. I am also a mom of four kids with a full time job, so I figured I would try an on-line class and see how it goes. Hoping to transfer to UF after completing my preliminaries at Santa Fe, I decided to get started this summer instead of waiting any longer. Any tips for on-lines classes are appreciated since I really do not know what I am doing. Liz

Discussion Post #1 response to alcohol ad

The advertisement for a Tequila tasting beer called Tequiza compares the nutritional info to it’s competitor Smirnoff Ice. The ad does not target the individual highlights of the “good for you product”. For example: The ad does not show that the drink is “Made with 100% lime juice.” Instead, it goes straight to the point by making you think “Tequiza, yes! “because the advertisement shows that it is one hundred calories and 23 carbs less than the sugary, and totally bad for you Smirnoff Ice. In a way the ad seems a bit contradicting for the buyer. Just because the buyer is picking (as the ad displays) the more healthy or better choice, he/she is still purchasing a product that is proved to be damaging to the human body. (Assuming that the buyer is human)Because the advertisement appeals to someone who is strict about their die, the advertisement tries to trick them by showing the other option that might put on that unwanted pound. The consumer sees the ad and might be bound to purchase the product if he/she is having issues about their weight or appearance. The appeal to pathos was certainly presented here. Another way to think about it is to believe that the Tequizza just seems more logical (logos) for the consumer to buy because it seems to be better for you.

Hi All,

I noticed no one had joined the class tumblr yet, so I tried sending an invitation to one of my alternate email addresses only to discover that the tumblr email option is not sending the emails out.  I have posted the link on Angel.  You can follow it to sign up as posting member of our resource site.

Introduction

Hi Everyone!
Very pleased to meet you. Gainesville is my hometown and it has been a nice place to grow up but I think once I graduate, my new home will be somewhere on the west coast. My plan is to transfer to UF once I graduate with an A.A. I am very interested in nutritional and physical health. In my spare time I find myself lost in romance with my boyfriend, listening to music while peddling my bike as far across town as I can, and releasing tension with basic yoga. I am also a vegetarian and love to experiment in the kitchen.  I am  employed by the Collier Companies as a leasing consultant. During the summer my job takes a lot of my time due to the new season beginning. We have to transition all the apartments for all of the new residents coming in. I found that taking an online course seems very practical during this busy time for me. I hope that we can all work together to make sure everyone is successful in the course!
