Week 3 discusion post #1
Recently, I fell in love with a corky, free-spirited, beauty who is named Sara(Charlize Theron). She is the main character in the romantic comedy Sweet November. Her happiness and passion for life really engaged my attention. She meets a stranger at the local DMV named Nelson (Keanu Reeves). Nelson is a workaholic who has no spare time if he’s not making money. During, a driving test he’s forced to take by his secretary, Nelson distracts Sara and the instructor calls her out for cheating. Sara leaves the exam room with no shame but with an idea up her sleeve to get revenge on Nelson…the sweetest revenge.
Sara and Nelson’s personalities are polar opposites, but after one month together they share memories that will last them forever.
This movie is a pleasure for me because it is truly inspiring. The reality in the story line can relate to many individuals who are thirsty for motivation in their own lives. No matter who you are or what you are going through, this film can make you appreciate anything. It will make you want love, it will make you want to cry. It will also give you an idea that with any amount of time you have at the moment, you can be happy in it.

I think your review/analysis of this movie is great. The way you are describing how the movie is inspiring and how it can make me or people in general appreciate every moment in life, makes me want to drive to a red-box and rent it. I also love how you did not really go into details about the entire movie, which would have been terrible for me because I dislike watching movies when I already know everything that is going to happen. I enjoy watching not only romantic movies, but also the kind of movies that have a great message behind it. I will sure remember this post once I'm done watching the movie!
ReplyDeleteBrittany's review makes me want to rent the movie even though I am not a fan of romantic comedies. You also did a good job of not giving away the ending or giving away too much of the plot to ruin it for the rest of us. I am curious which one starts to become attracted to the other first, I am also curious on what the outcome was on her getting called out for cheating. It sounds like an interesting film.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Crysthel your review of this movie is the best. In your description of the inspirations of this movie really makes one want to go out and see this movie if they never have and see it again if they have already seen it. Your not going into details about the entire movie leaves one with the urge to see the movie based on what you did not say leaving the reader wanting more. I really enjoy inspirational romantic comedies. I have also put this movie on my must see list based on your description. I will definitely look forward to comparing the movie to this review of the movie.
ReplyDeleteThe cover on the front makes you want to be close to the one you love. The excellent review you that you gave the movie makes me want to go rent it and watch it. I love romantic movies and I think you presented what the movie was about. The power of love is an awesome tool.
