I know some of you are up and running on Google Docs and some of you are having trouble still. I discovered this morning (thanks to a timely office visit by one of your classmates) that Google Docs is in the process of being rolled over into a new platform called Google Drive. Unfortunately, this new platform requires downloading a new program on to your computer. This will be undesirable for many home users and simply impossible for any students using computers at the local library or at any campus location.
Since this is the case, I am going to being posting assignment sheets on the Lessons page in Angel. I will also be providing paper dropboxes there. I really do love Google Docs, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience for those of you who have already got it set up, but this new download requirement will actually make it completely impossible for some of the students in this class to access it.
To recap: All assignment sheets will be posted to the Lessons page on Angel, and I will post a paper dropbox on Angel for each essay. I'll post screencaps showing you how to submit a paper closer to the due date. I will also post an announcement here (using the "housekeeping" label) each time I post an assignment sheet or dropbox to Angel so you will all know it's there.
