Contemporary Media

Contemporary media is encouraging children to grow up to fast. The media today is stressing the point of sex, violence, and drugs.  Many of the television programs that our children watch is  influence them to be rebel against their families. Parents need to monitor the programs that the children watch. Because many shows teach that it's ok to lie cheat and steal, it makes our children feel  it's okay to do that.

  1. I guess the a reason why they put that crap on TV is because it attracts so many viewers. The only reason why I think people would be attracted to watching it is if that is the opposite of how they were raised and they are just curious on how other people live.

  2. I disagree with your statement about television influence children to be more rebel against parents. Television is for entertainment purposes, and these acts with drugs, stealing and sex are to entertain, they aren't telling kids to these such things. There are ratings on these TV shows for a reason. Most children should know or have learned that TV isn't "real" it is for entertainment purposes and if a child is influenced by a certain aspect of a television show it is the parents to blame.

    1. Teone, this is what I think about the media today. We all don't agree on the same issues, but this is what I think. I don't think parents are to be blamed for what is on t.v., but however at my home I monitor what my children watch.
